Getting Unstuck: Transforming Limiting Beliefs

One of the core elements of my work is hosting myself before I host others. It is the art of becoming present. For me one of the practices I have found valuable as I prepare for circles and as I work with teams to design circle-based participatory gatherings is The Work of Byron Katie. It creates a simple and portable container for me to jot down my fears, worries, assumptions, judgements, advice, stressful thoughts, and work with them before I sit in the circle. It is part of my own shadow tending journey, increasing my ability to identify and tend what is inside my own hoop. And as a circle host and facilitator it has helped me host challenging and conflict-rich circles.

In this spirit I want to pass on this invitation to a retreat in The Work of Byron Katie, happening this September at beautiful Hollyhock with our talented friend Caitlin Frost as she hosts a five day retreat focused on Getting Unstuck: Transforming Limiting Beliefs – using the Work of Byron Katie.

Dates: September 16th to 20th, 2015

Location: Cortes Island, which is between Vancouver Island and the Coast mountain range of the mainland.

Who this is for: Women and men who want to take some time to work effectively and compassionately with the places you are finding yourself stressed or stuck, and find more freedom, clear thinking and peace for yourself. From teenagers to elders, entrepreneurs and the self-employed to employees, mothers and fathers, community citizens, artists and leaders – we welcome people from all ages, stages and walks of life.

Do peek at the beautiful invitation – perhaps there is someone you know who might enjoy this type of reflective, engaging and transformative retreat experience – and you would share this invitation with them? We still have space for more folks to join us.
