I love taking time each New Year to look back at the past year and look ahead to the next, setting intentions for how I want to be and what I hope to experience in the year.
My theme for 2013 is more art and heart, with these three guiding words:
Make more art. Have heart-full adventures. Love more.
Here are some possible ways this might come to life…
Make more art:
- Grow my independent consulting work designing and facilitating conversations for a better future
- Keep on blogging
- Look for ways to expand my circle hosting practice
- Buy less stuff (less stuff = more financial freedom to make art)
Have heart-full adventures:
- Mom and sister’s trip to Washington DC
- Travel to Croatia with Caitlin for her Byron Katie workshop
- Go outside more (including snowshoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding)
- Read more fiction
Love more:
- Write monthly love letters to be dropped anonymously in my travels ala moreloveletters.com
- Monthly date nights with Nat
- Write a letter to my parents telling them how much they mean to me
- Do three sun salutations every day (on top of regular yoga classes)
- Cook more (strategy already in place at my onthegosupperrecipes site)
- Get enough sleep
